What is Above the EDGE Global Sports ?

Above the EDGE Global Sports is a proven instructional program that prepares children for the world of organized sports without the pressure of competition or the fear of getting injured.  Parents will work together with our staff and their children to learn all of the basic skills of sports and life.  We believe that it's the fundamentals that make you successful in life and sports.

Above the EDGE Global Sports was started to develop and strengthen the positive character, social, and physical qualities of each participant, while cultivating a healthy spirit of fun and sportsmanship.  We also help develop the child's motor skills, hand eye coordination, and footwork for each specific sport.

This gradually builds confidence and self-esteem in children while they are have fun at the same time.  We teach them that 80% of sports is mental and the 20% is skill and athleticism.  It's our philosophy of the Fun-da-mentals.  Never loosing site of having fun but challenging the youth mental aspect as well.  It is our goal of teaching them how to not only how to play the game but THINK the game.

Sports programs can do even more, however, when you include the asset approach. Consider these ideas for integrating assets into your sports programs:
